HOW DO WE STAY CONNECTED TO THE EXPERIENCE OF CREATION AND INCORPORATE TECHNOLOGY?
As many school move to a 1:1 environment teachers feel the need to incorporate technology in the classroom. In art, we must not lose the experience of artistic creation through the use of technology. Technology in the art curriculum can be incorporated in a number of ways to simply enhance the artist's experience. Web 2.0 tools focus on a specific way to deliver information. It is a vehicle for students to create a digital community through pictures, videos, blogs and forums. Below are a few applications used at Rotolo Middle School. |
PadletPadlet is an application that allows students access to an online notice board or bulletin board maker. Students can create their own Walls and fill it with information, images and videos! This is used to gather ideas and work through the creative process for a conceptual process. This can work much like a bulletin board, but students are gathering digital ideas.
